And we’ve landed! After two weeks of rehearsing in different spaces (so much gratitude for the support we’ve had!) we’ve settled into Forest Forge for show week! We’re thankful and excited for the opportunity to work in this wonderful space for the final push before previewing SHACKLETON to the youth theatre on Wednesday and then heading out on tour.
The studio is big and warm, the team are talented and welcoming and the long rural touring history of the company means it’s a treasure trove of puppets, costumes and creative spaces. But we’re not allowed to spend three days playing in the ‘making room’ because we’re in that intense final stage of producing a show. We’ll be solidifying the latest changes and improvements, getting round to the little prop jobs like glueing things on, adding in the lights and sounds effects and running it as many times as possible! We’ve got the talented Josh Elwell visiting us for a second time to top up our puppetry skills and then we’ll be out and about to schools and venues.
