the young company

Forest Forge Young Company offers opportunities for young people aged 18 – 25 (post sixth form) to delve deeper into the world of theatre and develop themselves as artists and theatre makers.

Working together as a collaborative ensemble they are encouraged to create their own work – whether that is performances in our studio, pieces of site specific work or digital performances. The Young Company are supported and mentored by the team at Forest Forge, who pledge to offer training and experience in all aspects of theatre from performance to directing, technical to administration, fundraising to design, marketing to dramaturgy. Each year they produce a summer show part of which includes organising fund raising activities to cover the cost of it.

We also offer support for people auditioning for drama schools, and offer opportunities for assisting workshops. Former members of have gone on to train at some of the UK’s most prestigious drama schools, including RADA and Rose Bruford, and undertaken full-time careers in the Arts.

timings and costs

The Young Company runs  in term time for 10 weeks (note we do not meet during half-term) and we welcome new members at any stage throughout the year.

Young Company = Ages 18-25 (post sixth form)
Wednesdays 7.30pm – 9.00pm | At Forest Forge Theatre (limited numbers) | £105 per term
