Taking part in light-hearted, active ensemble drama sessions can be enjoyed by anyone, regardless of age.
If you’re looking to make friends, maybe get a bit fitter, learn some new skills or have some fun then you’re in the right place!

Our groups run in three 10-week terms. We welcome new members at any stage throughout the year.
Unless otherwise stated, all sessions take place at our base, at Pintail House, Duck Island Lane, Ringwood, BH24 3AA.

Come and play with us! Join Forest Forge’s weekly game sessions to forget the world. In these joyful sessions we could be jumping around, learning to juggle or playing word games. In all cases you’ll come away feeling better, brighter, braver and a bit fitter.

Thursdays, 8.45pm – 9.45pm

Wordsmiths is Forest Forge’s creative writing group for adults. Whether you’re a published poet, a novice novelist or a complete beginner – it is a space for everyone to come and play with words.
Sessions will be relaxed and include a variety of games, prompts and exercises to get you playing with words. There will be opportunities to share your writing, and gain feedback on pieces you’re working on outside of the group. Informed by Forest Forge’s playful artistic approach, these sessions will help you to unlock your creativity, clear any writers blocks and get your words flowing!
Mondays, 6.00pm – 8.00pm

Act Your Age is our lively adult drama group for ages 55+, in which we use drama games and theatre skills to explore theatre making and devising. But this is not your usual amateur dramatic group! We use Forest Forge’s ensemble theatre ethos to explore storytelling, movement, character and improvisation in a safe and supportive environment that is full of laughter.
Sessions last an hour and a half are always followed up a cuppa and a chat.
Members of Act Your Age have the option of taking part in annual productions alongside the change to perform in street theatre and site-specific work.

For Adults with Learning Disabilities, in Partnership with Blue Apple Theatre
Branching Out are weekly drama workshops for individuals with learning disabilities. Our fun and engaging sessions will provide a nurturing space for participants to explore their creativity, learn valuable skills, and develop their self-confidence. Whether you are an experienced performer or new to the stage, our program offers an inclusive and accessible way to get involved in the arts and unleash your potential.
