“Encouraging young people to stand tall in their own shoes or walk in somebody else’s”
Our Youth Theatre and regular sessions for children and young people offer dynamic theatre making and performance opportunities for anyone aged 7 – 18. Taking place throughout the week, and with three 10-week terms per year, members of our groups enjoy supportive drama sessions full of lots of laughing, acting, socialising, moving, script reading, devising, daring, ball throwing, people throwing, mischief and mayhem.
From the week beginning Monday 20 January to the week beginning Monday 31 March
No session during half term week, from 17 – 23 February.
We unlock children and young people’s creative potential via our playful, gently anarchic sessions and, as a result, young people and their parents report improved wellbeing, new friendships, increased self-confidence, empathy, resilience, tolerance, fearlessness, curiosity, co-operation and collaboration.
We pride ourselves on the inclusivity of our sessions – everyone is welcomed as who they are and where they are in life right now. We are, as a result, often told young people have ‘found their tribe’ at Forest Forge. Members of our Youth Theatre have the option of taking part in annual productions alongside the chance to perform in street theatre and site-specific work.
